Anshala’s Poem
I, am meant to fly
I, am meant to soar
For so long, I bound my own wings
trying to be, for others expectations of me.
Lost in my own mind
Suppressing my creative soul,
I put my own rose covered glasses on
and called it obedience.
Male said woman you are untamed,Female said woman you are disobedient.
My soul said, set me free, set me free, set me free!
Divine said, you have always been free…
Divine said, you have always been perfect.
Divine said Live.
The breath Divine breathe into MY body was for meSo why I live like man and woman breathe into me?
This body, this life, is mine.
My soul said, set me free.My wings said, unbound me.
I, am meant to fly.
I, am meant to soar.
I, this woman, be free.
